TOLEDO, OH: Toledo Speedway's All American Coach Night-sponsored program fell victim to the weather Friday evening. Although the track was spared the heavy downpours, much of the area was inundated with rain and high winds. The ARCA Auto Value/Bumper to Bumper Midget Series was scheduled to compete, along with the track's Sportsman and Factory Stocks, and the PKA Go-Karts. Track officials had not pinned down a date for a possible return by the Midgets and go-karts as of press time.

Friday night racing continues at Toledo Speedway through August 23. The track will then switch to Sunday racing for the month of September. Upcoming events at the track include Roadway Express Night next Friday, June 28, with the ARCA Late Models, Sportsman and the Figure 8's in action. The Figure 8 class, which has a handful of appearances at the track this year, will return for the fun and excitement on the Figure 8 course.

The Jasper Engines and Transmissions "Evening of Fun" is set for Friday, July 5. It will also be Toledo Blade Fan Appreciation Night. The unique event will see the ARCA Lincoln Welders Truck Series in town for a 50 lap main event on the mile high banks, with the Factory Stock class also scheduled for a full show. The Hollywood Stunt and Thrill Show, featuring car and motorcycle daredevil acts, will makes its first trip to Toledo Speedway for ramp jumps, 2-wheel driving and many more motorized stunts. And to top the evening off in style, the Marco's Pizza Fireworks show will follow the racing program! Race fans should check the Toledo Blade for a money-saving coupon the week of the event.

Hemelgarn Racing presents the Stoops Freighliner USAC Sprint Cars for their annual visit to Toledo Friday, evening, July 12. The event will be shown on a tape-delayed basis on ESPN. The ARCA Sportsman and Factory Stocks will join USAC's "Thunder and Lightning" division for a full race card. The Indy Racing League's new support Series, the Infiniti Pro Series, will also stage a demonstration run on the track July 12. Officials from Michigan International Speedway will also be at the track, with an IRL Indy Car on display. Ron Hemelgarn, a local resident and team owner of the IRL Indy Car driven by Buddy Lazier, has sponsored this event for the past 3 seasons. Hemelgarn will also offer tickets to the IRL 500 mile race at MIS at a 20% discount, which will be available at the Hemelgarn Racing souvenir trailer.

One of the most popular events on the schedule is set for Friday, July 19, when Advantage Auto Parts Stores presents "Christmas in July". Santa Claus will be on hand to greet fans and a big prize give-away will take place. A 4-division program is slated, with the ARCA Late Models, Figure 8's, Sportsman and Factory Stocks all in action.

The month of July schedule wraps up with the Faygo 100 for the ARCA Late Models Friday, July 26. The 100 lap feature event is leg number 3 of the Royal Truck and Trailer/G Tec Truck Equipment Gold Cup Series, which is comprised of 4 events, 2 at Toledo and 2 at Flat Rock Speedway. The final leg is a 150 lap contest at Flat Rock August 3. The Sportsman and Factory Stocks will also compete July 26.
